Welcome,

Thanks for checking out our website. If you are ready to join us for a visit, you are in the right place. Whether you have been in church your whole life or this will be your first time, we know that church visits can be stressful. This page is here to answer some questions about our service to help get through that ‘I’m new here’ feeling.

FAQ’s

What time do services start?

Sunday Morning at 11am

Where is the campus located?

69 Saunders Road Newport News Virginia

What should I wear?

We will have folks in shorts, we will have folks in slacks and we will have folks in dresses. Its really up to you. Jeans and khaki pants seem to be the most popular choices.

What are you doing to make gathering safe?

We are closely watching the CDC and Virginia government guidelines. Right now we are asking unvaccinated visitors to wear masks.

What will happen when I visit for the first time?

First, you should know that we will not point you out. First time visits can be stressful so we don’t ask that you identify yourself.  People around you will probably recognize that you are new and say hello to you. You are not expected to remember their names. If you visit our welcome desk, you will get some fresh baked cookies. So that is nice!

What is a service like?

The best way to understand this is watching one of the videos here. You will see that we do some announcements, we sing some contemporary worship songs and then we hear a sermon. That’s pretty much it.    If you come on the second Sunday, you will be able to see communion. Communion is available to anybody who has put their faith in Jesus as their only hope for salvation.

What will my kids do?

Birth-6th grade will be welcome to participate in “Kids on the Way.” Or if you’d like they can sit with you during the service. You can find out more about “Kids on the Way” by clicking here

We check kids in through KidCheck. If you download the kidcheck app on your phone, you can have all the information entered and be ready to go for Sunday. You can also fill this out at the check in station when you arrive on Sunday.
