Nicaragua Missions
Partnering with Food for the Hungry

Immanuel partners with the non-profit Christian Organization “Food for the Hungry” to minister to the Las Cruces community in Nicaragua. We have an ongoing relationship with the people of this community and “FH” to help fund sanitation projects (such as vital wells and water storage tanks) as well as economic growth (such as savings groups to support local businesses, raising livestock and fish, community gardens, school improvements, agricultural initiatives, and much more!)— all while we glorify God and seek His will together!

The employees at “FH” in Nicaragua work with the local leadership council in Las Cruces as well as the people in the community to work for sustainable change. The local people take ownership, do the work, dig the wells, grow the food, etc so that they learn the many skills needed to help their community graduate from extreme poverty!  They emphasize the importance of the Good News of Jesus to help empower people as well. We work with local churches in the area that help support the initiatives of “FH”. Food for the Hungry has been working in over 20 countries for over 50 years to help communities, and we are excited to partner with such a wonderful organization.

We also do annual trips to Nicaragua to see what the Lord is doing, to pray with the people, and to learn from the communities that we visit how to better spread the Gospel in the states. Lastly we sponsor kids (and the money goes to help the community as a whole). If you’d like to sponsor a child, write letters to them, and maybe visit them on one of our trips, please get more information by CLICKING HERE to e-mail us and put “interested in Nicaragua missions” in the subject line.
